The second wave of August 2026 games for Xbox Game Pass is here, bringing a solid mix of day-one releases and expanding the Premium tier library. Headlining the lineup is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a prequel to the acclaimed action-adventure series that arrives on August 27 . This new installment shifts focus to Sophia and promises a more action-oriented experience with parries and finishing moves, moving away from the stealth-heavy gameplay of previous titles .
Among the other day-one additions, Vapor World: Over the Mind dropped on August 19 as a narrative-driven souls-like platformer set in a fractured dream world . Blood Dungeon, from the creators of Nidhogg, also arrives on August 25 as a chaotic 2D survival platformer that blends roguelike elements with fast-paced parkour . Multiple other titles are also joining the service through August and into early September, many expanding the Game Pass Premium catalog .
